Linux is the point.
LodeStar is Ubuntu and Linux first. Not a generic MDM with a Linux connector bolted on after the iOS screens were done.
First-class, not leftover policy.
Linux fleets are real work: packages, snaps, services, SSH, mixed hardware, operators who live in a shell. Device management that was designed for phones will always make Linux look like an exception.
LodeStar inverts that. The agent, the policy model, live query, and inventory are built around Linux. Other devices can exist in the same tenant. They orbit. They do not set the defaults.
- Ubuntu first. That is the distro we optimize for. Other Linux is in scope; it is not an afterthought checkbox.
- Operator-shaped controls. Policy that talks about the machine the way you already do.
- Snaps from Canonical. The platform does not host snaps. If a device needs a snap, it comes from Canonical’s store.
Cyan in the brand is the Linux accent — links, kickers, the impact shards on the mark. Gold is the ask: request access. We do not paint Linux gold and call it “premium.”
